Foundations of Rope Bondage / Rope 101

Beginner2.5–3 hours

A foundational, hands-on introduction covering safety, negotiation, risk management, rope handling, and style. Fundamental knots and ties are demonstrated and then practiced with the instructor involved throughout.

What you'll cover

  • Core knots: overhand, half-hitch, lark's head, and square knot
  • Single and double column ties, including load-bearing variations
  • Crotch rope, stirrup heel tie, and a rope leash
  • The Shinju chest harness and the Somerville bowline
  • A box tie with flexibility modifications
  • Rope coiling and storage
Rope to bring
One 15 ft rope minimum; one 15 ft plus one 30 ft recommended. Larger builds: add a second 30 ft piece.
Format
Demonstration, step-by-step instruction, and hands-on practice.

BDSM 101 / 102

Beginner

A fast-paced overview of core BDSM topics, built around a structured framework for planning and running an encounter.

What you'll cover

  • Finding, meeting, and vetting potential partners
  • Negotiation, scene setup, aftercare, and post-scene processing
  • Bondage and sensation implements
  • Training concepts for D/s and S&M dynamics
  • An overview of contracts
Rope to bring
No rope needed — just a curious mind. Class notes are provided.

Lecture with room for discussion.

In 60 Seconds… Speed Bondage

Beginner and up

Five knots and rapid-capture techniques focused on quick application and inescapable restraint.

What you'll cover

  • Three Prusik-knot variations — frame securing and rope handcuffs
  • A rope-only device that tightens one way only
  • A one-handed wrist and ankle knot
  • A Hojojutsu-based arm binder / chest harness applied in under a minute
Rope to bring
15 ft minimum; 30 ft total (two 5 ft and two 10 ft pieces) to build the speed-bondage tool.
Format
Demonstration, practical lecture, and hands-on practice.

Rope Fashion: Corsets

Beginner–Intermediate

Design and create personalized rope corsets — patterns, stability, and variations. The focus is on concepts and practical knowledge rather than finishing a full corset in class. Prior rope handling experience is required.

What you'll cover

  • Rope wrapping patterns around the body
  • Stability patterns — the corset's "boning"
  • Rope extension methods
  • Garter and shoulder-strap options
  • Integrating a corset with an existing chest harness
Rope to bring
One 30 ft piece plus one more to learn the concepts. For a full corset: four 30 ft pieces (or two 50 ft, or one 100 ft) plus two 10 ft pieces.
Format
Mostly lecture and demonstration with hands-on experimentation.

Chest Harness Theory & Practice

Beginner

A series of chest harnesses that reveals the theory connecting them — so you can design custom harnesses for a specific purpose rather than memorizing one pattern.

What you'll cover

  • The Bikini harness, Shinju, RopeFairy's Caress, and Pentagram (Star) harness
  • Custom rope-bra design principles
  • Rope extension techniques
  • Style elements (Dom-points) and tidy rope management
Rope to bring
At least two ~30 ft pieces; an optional third 30 ft (or 15 ft) piece adds flexibility.
Format
Demonstration, step-by-step instruction, and hands-on practice.

Flogger Forge — Giving Old Rope New Life

Beginner to Advanced

Turn retired rope into impact toys. A crafting class on repurposing — bring cuttable rope and make your own project to take home.

What you'll cover

  • Building a Simple Flogger
  • Building Zoe's Zipper Slapper
  • An overview of the Flogger Forge resources for designing your own
Rope to bring
Simple Flogger: ~26 ft, best with 5/16"–3/8" rope. Zoe's Zipper Slapper: 20–30 ft of 1/4" rope.
Format
Demonstration, step-by-step instruction, and hands-on practice.

Giddy-Up! Ties for Pony Play

Intermediate

Five techniques and knots for pony-play scenes — restraint, control, and the role-play elements that bring a scene to life. Completion of a 101-level class and existing rope handling experience are required.

What you'll cover

  • Two crotch-rope variants — one pressure-based, one containment-focused
  • A rope-based bit gag
  • The Dragonfly harness — a modified rope armbinder
  • A heel-keeper tie
Rope to bring
Two 15 ft plus one 30 ft minimum; for a complete pony outfit, six 15 ft plus two 30 ft pieces. A short (~6") rod helps structure the bit gag.
Format
Demonstration, step-by-step instruction, and hands-on practice.
