Tips for using a 2-Point Hanger in a lift system

Paths for running the rope

When creating your lift system (a different tutorial), your lift line can run through this open path after it comes back down from the hard point.

Keep the length of the legs equal ... unless your suspension will be at an angle

Normally you want the two legs of your Y hanger to be equal.

But this kind of hanger does allow you the flexibility to do things differently. This can be helpful if you want to suspend your partner at an angle. To change the angle, simply move the inside line of one of the legs.

The secondary bight is able to slide and be repositioned. Here we have changed the angle so that the up line will evenly distribute the load to both lines when our partner’s body is at an upward angle.

Here we have adjusted it the other way, which would be useful if our partner’s upper body was angle somewhat downward.
