Pride Strappado

Blue and I went to San Fransisco Pride in 2024. We were supposed to be part of the parade, but at the last minute they told us we were not going to be permitted to do so after all … … …

Soooo, we wandered around pride and did street rope instead, meeting interesting people and getting some fun, lovely shots! Here are the other two that we did:

This gorgeous rainbow hemp was supplied by Twisted Monk. We are grateful to be able to work with such a lovely product. It really popped in the sun!

While we were tying this scene, one of the local security people came by to check in and make sure things were on the up-and-up. She made sure Blue was okay and a willing participant. Blue assured her that not only was she willing, she was eager 😊. I then helped the security rep understand the safety planning that goes into things like this. I thought she did a great job balancing the concerns of security and safety with the free and experimental spirit that the event represents.
