Kajira Blue evokes Sweet Gwendoline in these inspiring Damsel in Distress shots!
I’ve said it before, I will say it again: you can create incredibly fun scenes using nothing more than your imagination and a few nicely placed double columns and single columns!
We got this inspiring shot and many others in just 20 minutes of shooting while at the Lovers Lane in Flint, Michigan. We had a short time between our arrival and when our Foundations class was to start. The staff there, Shannon and Arin, were lovely and happy to let us use one of their fitting rooms for a little photoshoot!
Blu and I both love John Willie, particularly his Sweet Gwendoline series, and had been planning on doing some damsel in distress (“DID”) shots while on the road, so Blue already had a number of fun outfit choices. While she was doing her make up for dramatic effect and getting dressed, I set up the camera and set some atmospheric lights I have to red and blue. After that, it was just a matter of adding a few double columns and letting blues theater kid persona have free rain! We got lots of fun images in that very short time.
