Chain Stitch Single Column

By Lazarus Redmayne

Easy
Chain Stitch Single Column

This technique rapidly places a 4 strand rope cuff on your partner. With a little practice, you can have this one tied on in 30-40 seconds!

Pros: This one is good for flogging as it provides a nice bulky knot for your partner to hold on to. It is also more secure than the Flogging Cuff.

Cons: On the other hand, it is more bulky and therefore less attractive than some other single column ties.

Rope Needed

For this tutorial, I used one 15' (~5m) piece of Natural 6mm provided by my affiliate Twisted Monk.

Check them out for some amazing hemp rope!

Pictures & Text

This is a rapid cuffing technique. I use this same technique for the Leash

With your two fingers through the bight, run the strands around your partner’s wrist

Grab the tail with those two fingers

Pull just a little loop through.

Run the tail back around your partner’s wrist the other direction, being sure that the cords lay parallel and even.

Reach through the first loop and grab the tail…

…again only pull a little loop through

Reach through that new loop and grab the tail again…

Grab the tail...

And again only pull a little loop through

Repeat a 3rd time...

But this time, pull the tail through all the way...

Like this...

This cuff works nicely both like this, and...

...across their palm so they have something substantial to grab
