Double Coin Knot

A double coin knot is a decorative way of attaching two strands of rope together. It can be used to create a hishi karada that is very decorative and attractive if you play with the same partner on a common basis and would like to have a karada rope set up for that person for fast use.

Pros: Attractive.

Cons: Takes a little time to tie. Requires you to "work" the knot a bit to get it flat, even and attractive.

Rope Needed

For this tutorial, I used Natural and Blue 6mm provided by my affiliate Twisted Monk.

Create a loop. Note that the upper strand lays on top of the lower strand of the loop

Here is the shape of the completed knot, left loose.

You have to work the knot a bit to tighten it

Now lets go through this again, this time like you would if you wanted to add a decorative element to some bondage like a Karada. Again note that this strand is on top of the one leading out of the knot (away from the bight)
